It was designed to alarm when a value crosses a threshold, the same threshold set for every patient on the unit, regardless of their physiology, their medications, or where they are in their recovery.

For the past 14 months in production, we’ve been building the data layer that closes that gap: patient-specific alarm limit recommendations calibrated to each patient’s actual physiology and condition, so alarms fire when something real is happening, and don’t when it isn’t.
